
The article on "talking equality" was about how Ariene Ackerman consistently emphasized on black and Latino , particularly males that are at a disadvantage in achievements gains over the past few years. The article went on to say that Black and Latinos lag 24 points behind Whites. In the paper it stated that 59% of students in emotional support classes are African Americans. The Latino boys were also placed in that rate.
Further more the paper talked about how maybe it would help if the students were ib desegregated schools. Ackerman thought that it would help with a lot of the poverty. She then said that "I can't change those things,so I stoped thinking about desegregation and integration. She then said that it was not about what student sits next to who but if there getting the equal amount of educational opportunities.
